Why switch to natural soap made from goat’s milk

The soaps and gels we use have an impact on our skin and can even damage the skin barrier that is supposed to protect it.

Natural goat milk soap is a way to protect your skin while keeping you clean. Do you still doubt it? Here are three good reasons to switch to natural goat milk soap.

1. Avoid Harsh Chemicals

In today’s world of conscious consumers, you won’t find many soaps that still contain old-fashioned chemicals.

But one thing you might find in your store-bought soap is sodium Laureth sulfate (SLES).

During World War II, scientists developed sodium Lauretha sulfate as a degreaser and engine cleaner. It didn’t take long for the cosmetics industry to incorporate them into every product you can find.

By avoiding soaps with this type of ingredient, you avoid products that are so strong that they can be used to clean airplane engines. Choose goat milk products!

2. Take advantage of skin-nourishing ingredients

Natural soaps use oils, like coconut oil and olive oil, to moisturize and nourish your skin in ways that chemicals cannot.

Why is this so important? Because these ingredients support your skin’s pH level rather than working against it.

Your skin’s natural pH is around 5.5 and a neutral pH is around 7. When you use soap or goat milk lotion with a high pH, it can irritate your skin.

Natural soaps are not pH neutral, but they may include ingredients that neutralize harshness, such as vitamins A and C as well as antioxidants.

3. Protect animal welfare

To ensure that the soap is safe to use, companies must perform clinical tests and trials. Very often, they test their soaps on animals.

Many test all of their products on animals and are among the largest soap manufacturers in the world.

Not only are animals subjected to products that prove to be ineffective, but they are also subjected to products that are not suitable for their skin.

Cruelty-free natural soaps protect animal welfare while using ingredients proven to cleanse and soothe your skin.

What is The Goats Fields goat’s milk soap made of?

At The Goats Field, we want to be transparent with our clients. This is why we have decided to present to you the ingredients that go into the composition of our goat’s milk soap.

Goat’s milk is what makes our soap so special. It comes from a farm managed by Christelle and Gal. Their exploitation has since 2020 switched to organic farming.

The goats raised there live in the middle of nature and end their lives with private individuals or eco-grazing companies. At the beginning of the year, their goats no longer produce milk, because it is the period during which they reproduce.

Composition:

  • 20% organic goat’s milk
  • Sodium Rapeseedate – Saponified rapeseed oil
  • Sodium Cocoate – Saponified coconut oil
  • Aqua – Water
  • Glycerin – Glycerin from saponification
  • Perfume/Fragrance – We use quality essential oils and in small quantities to perfume our goat’s milk soaps
  • Sodium Chloride – Same as table salt
  • Sodium Citrate – Sodium salt of citric acid
  • Citric Acid – Lemon juice active, PH regulator
  • Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate – Plant origin, chelating agent

Some ingredients have a name that may seem complicated, even scientific. Each of them plays a specific role in the production of our goat’s milk soaps.

We ensure that each ingredient that makes up our soaps is of high quality and safe for your health.

How is our natural goat’s milk soap made?

The manufacture of our soap is done in a soap factory with which we work and begins with the reception of the raw material: the already saponified noodles. These are small granules of soap that serve as the basis for the manufacture of all soaps. However, we make it a point of honor to select only quality noodles.

In the soap factory with which we work, they then carry out the step-by-step mixing of all the ingredients that make up our goat’s milk soap.

For the development of our soap, we have chosen triple grinding. A production method that, as its name suggests, requires three grinding stages.

  • The first classic grinding allows the buns to soak up the perfume and the goat’s milk.
  • The second grinding consists of passing the mixture via an endless screw through a sieve which will refine the soap.
  • The third grinding makes it possible to obtain a homogeneous mixture and a soap of incredible finesse.

Now is the time to form the soaps. For this, the soap still in paste form is extruded using dies. It is then formed using a pneumatic press. Deburring removes excess soap.

Finally, our goat’s milk soaps are dried for a few days, just long enough to harden sufficiently.

All our soaps are then hand-packed. This allows us to have the soap factory carry out quality control on each piece and guarantee you goat milk soaps of exceptional quality.

Personal hygiene is essential, but it does not have to ruin you. If you have fragile, irritated, and flaky skin, it might be time to switch to natural soap.
